5 Must Haves Coffee Accessories

Everybody must have their coffee in the mornings. If you are like me I don't feel like myself until I have that first sip of that delicious hot liquid. Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts know this which is why they charge you an arm and a leg for something that can be easily recreated at home. One of my co-workers buys herself Starbucks everyday of the week. Think of it this way, a $7 coffee 7 times a week is almost $50 a week that she spends on coffee. That's $200 a month and $2,400 a year. That is a lot of money being wasted on something you can make at home for a fraction of the price. Here are my 5 Must Haves Coffee Accessories to add to your kitchen so that you can recreated that Starbucks and Dunkin without burning a whole in your wallet.

  1. Coffee Mug Warmer

Has this ever happened to you? You make that delicious cup of hot joe in the morning, you start doing somethings around the house or on the computer, you comeback and your coffee is lukewarm. By the time you get to the end of the cup your coffee is cold. If only we had a warmer to keep it hot. This coffee warmer let's you keep your coffee hot while you go and get those morning chores done. According the National Coffee Association of the USA coffee should be drunk between 120°F to 160°F. Don't settle for lukewarm or cold coffee anymore. You can use any mug on this warmer and it cost a fraction of the price as some other warmers.

2. Frother

Ever wonder how they make that delicious foam on top of your drive-through coffee well here it is. It's called a frother and it basically adds air into milk which creates a light and airy foam. No more paying $7 for that fancy latte, just add your milk, almond milk or whatever the heck kind of milk you use to a bowl and whip it. You can also add flavor to the foam with some cinnamon or vanilla.

3. K-Cups for Ground Coffee

If you have a K-Cup machine you need these reusable K-Cup for coffee grounds. At my grocery store, you are very limited to actual K-Cups. You have more options when it comes to ground coffee. Don't limit yourselves in terms of coffee flavor, get these reusable K-Cups and be able to buy any coffee you want.

4. K-Cup Holder

Not much to say here, a simple K-Cup Holder that holds up to 40 K-Cups. Looks good and spins, a great accessory to put on the counter next to your coffee machine.

5. Skinny Syrups

For those that like flavor in your coffee these syrups are delicious. Some of the syrups Starbucks use are high in calories and sugar. The best part about these are they contain 0 sugars and 0 calories and come in a variety of flavors. I personally don't add flavor to my coffees, just a touch of milk. But, my wife loves a splash of Vanilla in her coffees in the mornings.
