"Italian" Beef Sandwich Recipe
The one thing I hate the most about looking for a recipe is the 5 pages of nonsense you must stroll through to get to the recipe. I won't do that to you. Here is a good and easy somewhat “Italian” Beef Sandwiches to make for dinner in the crockpot. Depending on the size of the chuck roast and amount of people serving you could have some leftover for a couple days.
Ingredients
Chuck roast (medium sized), trimmed of visible fat
1 envelope ranch dressing package
8oz pepperoncini peppers slices (typically 1 can), splash of juice
Half an onion sliced
Garlic (As much as you want), I typically add about 2 cloves minced
12oz beef broth
Provolone cheese slices
Good bread to make sandwiches, I enjoy hoagie buns from Aldi's
Instructions
Season trimmed chuck roast with salt and pepper. Sear chuck roast in hot pan, just looking to get color on each side. PRO TIP- Searing locks in the juices of the meat.
In the crock pot add sliced onion, pepperoncini and splash of juice, garlic, beef broth and ranch seasoning package and give a good mix.
Add in your chuck roast and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until chuck roast can be easily shredded.
Shred your chuck roast with two forks and cook for another hour.
Make sandwiches and enjoy.
